Which is why The Log Files, a new series from The TekTrendz Blog, is poised to become a must-read for Northwest Arkansas businesses ready to elevate their technology and cybersecurity.

When you work on an IT help desk, you see the absolute best and worst sides of technology. And, you collect a lot of stories.

Like every good story, an IT story has a villain, a hero, and either a happy or — like a Coen Brothers' movie — unhappy ending. 

The Log Files looks to take you inside that story. Each month, Nickolas Newnham, a TekTrendz IT specialist and self-described "technology and cybersecurity enthusiast," will recount a real story behind a real IT fix.

But he won't stop there. He'll also distill practical lessons and tips from the story. 

The end result will be as enlightening as it is entertaining.

Each edition of The Log Files will offer firsthand, behind-the-scenes glimpses from Nickolas's actual work as an IT technician. And he'll teach along the way, sharing principles that will help your business gain new mastery over technology and cybersecurity.

"Technology isn't magic," said Nickolas. "We don't have to treat it like it is. It's my aim to demystify technology, and to make it more accessible to the businesses of Northwest Arkansas.

Behind the scenes, Nickolas also administers TekTrendz's own internal systems by researching, configuring, and managing the tech our team relies on every day.

When he's not securing or automating systems, you'll often find him in nature walking and hiking.
